Autumn has arrived. Not just the season, but the girl. Jasmine began having contractions Sunday night around 8:40. Over the course of the next two hours the contractions became stronger and closer together. We gave the on-call doc a call around 10:15 and explained the contractions were lasting about a minute and were, by that time, only 3:30 apart. When I asked Jas if we should wait another hour to see what happens she said,
“If we wait another hour, we’re gonna have this kid right here!”
We didn’t get to the hospital until around 11:00. We checked in to L&D and were admitted about an hour later with 3cm of dialation. Even though our bags had been ready to go for some time, we hadn’t brought them with us because we didn’t know that we’d be staying.
Off I went to grab the bags and such. When I returned, Jas was all in her hospital garb and hooked up.
Labor lasted a total of 22 hours and Autumn was born at 6:08pm and weighed 8lbs. 4oz. For those of you that voted. Vote again and let us know how your predictions went.
You can keep up with Autumn’s photos in her photo box.
